Want to see the living room at the studio?

Here is what the living room at the studio looks like. Sorry, the pictures aren't very good. I took them with my phone. I never seem to have my camera with me when I need it.

Two of the walls don't have anything hanging on them and they look pretty bare. I really need to do something about that.

This wall has my inventory on it. I really need to build my supply back up. My stock is pitifully low.

I really didn't like this....whatever it is but a neighbor suggested I put some yarn in it. You might not be able to see it but on the tree is garland made up of tiny balls of yarn on ribbon. Just the thing for a weaving studio, don't you think?

Here you can see some of my looms. The one on the left near the window is a Lervad from Denmark. It is the prettiest loom I have ever seen! The side pieces of the castle are turned wood.

The loom on the right is a Schacht. I use this loom for dish towels. The loom on the extreme left is a Structo 8 harness on a stand.

Here is the unfinished wall. We had natural gas installed a couple of months ago and recently I found an antique mantle. I need to get a few more bricks then modify the mantle and paint it. We are going to add side pieces to make it stand away from the wall and then fill in the gap around the fireplace somehow.

Here is what I have been working on today. Dish towels. The stripe doesn't look like it but it is sage green.  These are part of an order I need to fill.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of the living room. If you have any suggestions for a color for the mantle let me know. The walls are antique white. My husband thinks I should paint it barn red. I love that color!

  5. I love barn red also. I have found a color called buttersquash that I really love. It is a yellow-gold. If you don't want something so vivid, more of a soft color it would look great. It also blends with barn red. The living room is looking great. Have fun weaving now.
